At this congress Prof. G. Mayor officially announced the constitution of European Urology as the official scientific journal of the EAU. The journal was to be published from January 1975 on.
The 1st EAU Congress took place at the Padua University Polyclinic. The new Society’s first activity was a Round Table discussion on the subject of urethral ruptures. The Second Round Table in the afternoon took up Vesical carcinoma, whilst the Third Round Table was devoted to a Post-graduate course in urology.
Prof. Willy Gregoir became the 1st EAU Secretary General
